Yes, I am the little green birdie!  He knows that you don’t have to befriend every bird in the aviary.

Twitterers learn this when their followers & followees reach the point that they can no longer communicate effectively.  We know that “less is more,” but we just don’t have an easy way to get there.

Who can give us less?  Steven Bristol and Allan Branch!

These Ruby on Rails developers have created several clean, easy-to-use apps, which are available on their site,  http://LessEverything.com.

One of these, “Less Friends,” can be used to compare those who follow you with those you follow.

Though Twitter’s frequent API problems cause some inaccuracies in the final report, “Less Friends” still renders a clear (and alphabetical!) list to help Twitterers decide whether they need to follow a few more or a few “Less Friends.”

Thanks, Steve and Allan!

Very true indeed… Now, should Twitter start working correctly, I will log in and start cleaning up my timeline. :-)
